Romania Residency – December 15-22, 2024

After a wonderful stay in Norway, it was our turn to host Linn and Kristoffer. Their schedule included two natural dyeing workshops for traditional textile artworks at Anca Poterașu Gallery in Bucharest and a visit at the Dimitrie Gusti Village Museum, followed by trips to the Textile Museum in Băița, Hunedoara, the local artisan workshops in Săcel, Maramureș and the Merry Cemetery of Săpânța. They left with a strong sense of immersion in the local traditions and community and considered their visit to strengthen the cultural ties between our artistic landscapes.

ARAC is a non-profit organization founded in June 2012, in order to produce and promote contemporary art in Romania and abroad. The initiative of the 58 Plantelor Residency belongs to Anca Poterasu, gallerist and ARAC President.
