The group exhibition curated by Marie Maertens features works created during the residency by artists Yana Bachynska, Željko Benjamin, Tanja Boukal, Anetta Mona Chișa, Megan Dominescu, Bernhard Frue, Ilie Mihali, Shadhin Kamruzzaman, Donald Simionoiu, Delia Popa, Bogdan Rață, Mihaela Vezentan, Dan Vișovan, Christina Zurfluh, using textile and recyclable materials. The works reflect both local and cultural influences and contribute to critical research aimed at developing a strategic action plan for the sustainable development of our community.
The Line of the Valley exhibition marks the reopening of the Cultural Center in Săcel. These cultural spaces have long been at the heart of Romanian village life, evolving from the first educational and cultural centers to communist propaganda tools and now into dynamic community spaces.
This reopening is the result of conservation and revitalization efforts of important institutions, ensuring they will continue to enrich the community for future generations

ARAC is a non-profit organization founded in June 2012, in order to produce and promote contemporary art in Romania and abroad. The initiative of the 58 Plantelor Residency belongs to Anca Poterasu, gallerist and ARAC President. The first edition of the Residency took place in 2015 and it was financed through a grant offered by Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the Romanian Government.
